Finally, all the necessary forms are filled out, photos taken and passport stamped with my golden ticket to China. The process was a lot easier than I thought. With all the paperwork gathered in advance, all I had to do was get to the consulate when it opened, wait in line, drop everything off, pay an extra fee to pick it up that day, spend the afternoon in NYC, go back around 2pm, wait in more lines to pick up my newly visa’ed passport! Easy peasey. Just a few more loose ends to tie up this week, then I depart at the end of the month!! Time flies when you’re planning a world tour.
