REMEMBER has been out for one week and the response has been thrilling! Family and friends are showing their support in words and book sales, and so far, the book reviews are all positive. Now the task is to ramp up promotions and spread the word beyond those who already know my name. This is where things start to get tricky, but just as fun and creative.
Currently, I’m in the process of putting together a press kit, including press release, headshot, book cover, description, etc., to distribute to various channels in continuing the promotional process. A book launch party and signing is also in the works as part of the next wave of promotion. Ideas for print marketing materials, such as bookmarks, postcards, and business cards are also flowing.
Over the last week, all my social media channels were updated with the news of the release, and this week the plan is to expand my presence online through more book/author/writer related websites. While the publishing process for this novel are done, the promotional process is just beginning, and just as interesting to learn about.
