Yesterday’s REMEMBER launch party was more than I could have hoped for! The show of support from family and friends, both new and old, was a bit overwhelming at first, but all in a wonderful way. I was honored to have Sarah Graham and Thane Madsen play Neviah and Wynn for the theatrical reading (shown above), they even looked like what I pictured for the characters! Guests snacked on themed refreshments, like Wynn’s sweet and spicy pomegranate guacamole and cola in old fashion bottles, and everyone got to take home some of Betty’s famous oatmeal raisin cookies. We sold out of books at the event, but there are still plenty available in paperback and for Kindle. If you weren’t able to attend the book signing, but would still like a signed book, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a signed book-plate.
Here’s a rundown of how the day went:
THE READING. Not your typical monotone reading of a passage from the book. We’re in a theater, so of course it was a production! A scene from the novel was acted out by theater actors and narrated by the author.
THE SIGNING. Books are available on amazon.com and sales have been steady! Books were signed, and a limited number of copies were sold at the event. A portion of the proceeds was donated to support the Village Players of Hatboro.
THE OPEN HOUSE. Themed refreshments were served and live music played by Fran Carroll. Tours of the theater were also available.
